Dedicated to Jake Crosby and Age of Autism…

Yes, despite the best efforts of Jake Crosby, Age of Autism, and AoA commenters, I’m still standing.

Stay tuned tomorrow for as much of the story as I can tell you.

Hi there, I’ve read SBM and Respectful Insolence for a while, but I’ve never visited the AoA site. Today I did.
Wow, crazy doesn’t really capture the scope of it.
Glad to see you’re still standing, keep up the good work.

T.I.’s great, but you gotta love the 80′s. The things people did for effect before the days of CGI…

Gotta go with Elton. It’s just my generation.

Wow, what a waste of time and effort. Why didn’t he spend that much effort to try and find some science to back up their idea that vaccines cause autism? Oh, thats right, there isn’t any.

The Elton John one is about a transformative life relationship with a bad person that one has grown beyond.

I think this one fits better.

I have no problem with people being critical.

Mr. Crosby’s post was filled with very flawed logic. But even that isn’t sooo bad. He’s just following in JB Handley’s footsteps–slime people with stuff searchable on google.

The campaign to contact your department crossed the line in my opinion. Kim Stagliano, as I recall, made comments on a past blog post that came close.

What is astounding in this whole endeavor is the fact that they bought into Mr. Crosby’s illogic to the point that they thought your institution would take them seriously.

That post was so bad, and the blog itself so bad, that they probably scared whoever got the emails.

“Hello school administrator. I’d like to vent my anger at Dr. Gorski. Oh, yeah, here’s a link to the Age of Autism blog. I actually believe what Jake Crosby wrote about conflicts of interest. While you are at it, why don’t you read a few more articles. ”

With all due respect to the readers at AoA–the above email is not going to be accepted well (to put it mildly). Not because of prejudices or entrenched ideas. No, the Age of Autism is a fringe blog and it shows.

    Wasn’t that The Who?

Let us not forget that the AoA cesspool is moderated. No one can just take a dump and leave it there.

After reading Boy Wonder’s article, you can take a fuller header into the pool and read the comments. These comments were passed through by the former and fake journalists that are JB’s lackeys. When they passed them through, they adopted them as theirs. In other words, Olmsted, Kirby and Dachel are actual participants in the personal assault on Dr. Gorski.

    They are NOT innocent bystanders.

I would like to submit, for your approval, a title for this little row … The Crosby Kerfuffle. I know, it’s not the best alliteration, but at least it rhymes.

Can’t wait for tomorrow to see how this played out! :D

Finally I understand the “Bandeis” and “Wonder Boy” references. :)
